UKCISA stands up for international students

08 November 2013

One of UKCISA's aims is to identify and work to reduce obstacles and barriers to greater student mobility.  This week's Times Higher Education, a weekly magazine aimed at staff working in institutions and the HE sector across the UK, contained a letter from Dominic Scott, our Chief Executive.

The letter refers to the complicated rules surrounding post-study work arrangements in the UK and to proposals contained in the Government's Immigration Bill, which proposes that landlords may in future need to check the immigration status of students before renting out their properties.

We continue to work with other organisations, such as the National Union of Students (NUS) to ensure that the rules are fair and easy to understand and implement.
