About the grants scheme

Last modified: 16 August 2023

The #WeAreInternational Grants scheme focuses on integrating the principles of the #WeAreInternational Student Charter in higher and further education institutions in the UK, to deliver a world-class international student experience, from pre-arrival to post-graduation.

Applicants will select one of the five principles of the #WeAreInternational Student Charter as the guiding framework for the research or project, and successful applications will demonstrate how the charter can be applied at their institution, enable our members to better understand the needs of international students and develop innovative solutions to the challenges they face.

UKCISA members can apply for grants ranging from £1,000 to £4,000, covering one year of project or research development. Successful project and research applications will run from February 2023 to February 2024, with progress updates in June and October 2023 and a final report in March 2024.

Future editions of the grants scheme will run over a two year period, with the next cycle opening in autumn 2024.
