Appointment of next UKCISA Chief Executive

06 February 2019

Announcement from the Chair of the Board

I am delighted to say that, after a careful search, we have decided to appoint Anne Marie Graham as the next Chief Executive of UKCISA.

Anne Marie is currently Director of the Chevening Secretariat at the Association of Commonwealth Universities, administering the FCO’s flagship international scholarship scheme which brings over 1700 scholars to the UK annually from over 160 countries and territories.

Prior to that, she was Head of the Outward Student Mobility programme and Acting Assistant Director of Programmes at Universities UK International. Earlier in her career, she was Head of Skills, Business and Adult Learning at CILT, the National Centre for Languages.

She has, therefore, very substantial knowledge of higher education, scholarship management and the needs of international students. She has extensive experience of relations with government departments and funding agencies. And, quite clearly, a passion for international education and internationalisation in general.

I know that you will join me in welcoming her to UKCISA when she succeeds Dominic Scott at the end of April. I am sure Anne Marie will be keen to meet many of you as soon as possible in her first few months, and particularly at our Annual Conference in the beginning of July.

Best wishes
Prof Koen Lamberts
