UKCISA welcomes two newly elected Trustees to its Board

June 19, 2025

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two newly elected Trustees to our Board: Heather McNeill, Deputy Academic Registrar at the University of St Andrews, and Charlotte Corrish, Head of Public Policy at the Office for the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA).

Both were elected by UKCISA members following an open recruitment process in May/June 2025 and will serve an initial three-year term.  We are proud and grateful to have a dedicated Board of Trustees guiding our charity’s mission and ensuring our organisation remains transparent, effective, and accountable. Anne Marie Graham, UKCISA Chief Executive, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Heather McNeill and Charlotte Corrish to UKCISA’s Board of Trustees. Heather brings extensive experience in academic policy and student administration from her leadership roles at the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh. Charlotte brings deep insight into the student experience and higher education policy from her leadership role at the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.

Their combined expertise will be a great asset to UKCISA as we continue our work to support international students and their experience across the UK sector. I look forward to working with them as we navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead.”

She works closely with government departments, sector bodies and regulators—including Medr and the OfS—to ensure the OIA’s voice is clearly heard.

Charlotte has played a central role in delivering three legislative changes to expand OIA membership and student access to redress. She also leads the OIA’s work on provider closure and financial sustainability, contributing to long-term sector planning and student protection.
