UK visa fees increasing from 8 April 2026

From 8 April 2026, UK Visas & Immigration are increasing immigration application fees across a variety of immigration routes. Details of all the changes that are coming into force from 8 April 2026 can be found on the Home Office immigration and nationality fees webpage.  

We are highlighting here some of the most relevant changes to potential students and their dependants: 

  • Visitor visa (up-to 6 months) increasing to £135 

  • Electronic Travel Authorisation increasing to £20 

  • Student visa, main applicant and dependants increasing to £558 

  • Short-term student increasing to £228 

  • Child Student increasing to £558 

  • Graduate route, main applicants and dependants increasing to £937 

We would also draw attention to some changes to sponsorship fees for institutions in the UK seeking to sponsor international students:  

  • Student sponsor licence increasing to £611 

  • Worker and Student sponsor licence (large sponsor) increasing to £1,682 

  • Temporary Worker and Student sponsor licence increasing to £611
