Student update: Leaving the UK before Student permission expires

At this time of year, many students may want to leave the UK before their Student permission expires and re-enter the UK on that same permission. It is important that you read our information about this.
It is particularly important you understand the serious consequences if you:
(a) want to do this;
(b) have completed your course early;
(c) your institution has made a report to the UKVI to notify them about the early completion of your course; and
(d) you are hoping to apply for the graduate route after your return to the UK
