Nominate a student, colleague, team or institution for the #WeAreInternational Awards 2026

April 22, 2026

Join us in recognising international students and everyone who supports them across the UK at UKCISA’s #WeAreInternational Awards this November.

After a highly successful inaugural year in 2025, during which we celebrated 13 winners from 63 finalists, selected from 421 entries representing 121 institutions, the Awards are returning to highlight excellence in leadership, innovation, and community impact. We will honour individuals, teams, and institutions that contribute to a stronger and more inclusive international education sector, ensuring that the UK continues to be a world-class leader in international student experience.

Nominate today

Nominations are now open in 16 categories, that recognise international students, professionals and institutions, including Student Voice Champion, Outstanding Student Support, and Student of the Year. This year we’ll also be celebrating a University, College, Students’ Union and Pathway Provider of the Year.

Martyn Steward, Head of Student Experience, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, #WeAreInternational Award for Outstanding Student Support (Physical and mental wellbeing) 2025

"Taking part in the #WeAreInternational Awards was incredibly rewarding and really helped to raise the profile of our team's work among both staff and students. Seeing students publicly congratulate us on our win made it feel even more special, and reinforced just how important these awards are in recognising international work across the sector."

Ramitha Nittore, Student of the Year Award 2025

"Winning the Student of the Year Award has been incredibly meaningful, and it has encouraged me to keep speaking up, being empathetic, compassionate and supporting other students."

All the information about this year’s Awards, including categories, criteria and FAQ is available on our Awards website. Nominate your peers, colleagues or institution before the closing date of 9am on Wednesday 14 July 2026.
