We are an independent, UK-based charity and membership organisation committed to supporting international students and the educators, institutions, and organisations that work with them.
Through education and advocacy we aim to ensure that every international student in the UK enjoys a positive experience.

Our team of highly trained advisors offers accessible information and advice for international students about immigration rules, fees, employment and the wider student experience.

Membership
We provide training, information and advice to more than 400 members across universities, schools, colleges, students’ unions and wider organisations. Using our expertise in immigration advice, compliance and fee assessments, we give you the tools to provide a world class experience for international students.
Membership to UKCISA is per institution, so if you work at a university, school or college you may already has access to a whole wealth of benefits.

On 13 August 2025, the Scottish Government published new guidance, The Rest of UK Tuition Fee Status - Student Studying in Scotland (August 2025). This is the first publicly available resource outlining eligibility criteria and expectations for institutions. UKCISA is working to embed references to the new guidance into our public information on Scotland: HE fee status.

Students moving from the Republic of Ireland or the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man to start a higher education course in Wales this autumn do not need to arrive in time for 1 September. UKCISA information has been updated to reflect this.
