UKCISA's Committees and Officers
Board and Officers
Our Board of Trustees includes nine elected members and a further six co-opted by the Board itself to ensure an appropriate balance of skills, interest groups and expertise. Each is appointed for an initial term of three years. The President, Chair of the Board and Treasurer are also appointed for initial terms of three years. Observer status for sector and representative bodies ensures close collaboration with key stakeholders and those with similar aims and interests.
We are keen to improve the diversity of our Board, and to appoint Trustees who will extend and strengthen the range of skills and experience available to us. All Trustees must be committed to the objectives of UKCISA and willing to engage with us in overseeing the organisation's strategic direction, and we also welcome those able to bring particular relevant skills (at the moment experience of media engagement and campaigning would be particularly useful and management and financial experience is always welcome). Each year three places on the Board are open for election by the membership (details are sent to Primary Contacts), and there are also some places to be filled by co-option. If you might be interested in becoming a Board member and would like to have an informal discussion about what is involved, please contact the Chief Executive.
The Board, Finance and General Purposes and Policy committees meet three times each year to agree overall strategy, financial and staffing issues and UKCISA's position on key aspects of government, sector and membership policy. Current membership is listed below.
