On 11 October, the funding bodies in England and Wales made announcements regarding student finance for EU nationals for 2017/18. We will be seeking further clarity on some points in the announcements but it appears that EU students (and family members) commencing study on an eligible course in Autumn 2017 will be eligible for student finance in the normal way and will continue to be eligible for the duration of their study on that course.
On 14 October, the funding body in Scotland made a similar announcement, confirming that EU students "will continue to have access to free tuition, including tuition fee support from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) [in 2017/18 and] for the duration of that course".
