Delays in producing Biometric Residence Permits

14 April 2016

We understand that the Home Office's Biometric Document Management Unit is currently experiencing technical difficulties that are affecting the production of Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) and their subsequent delivery to Post Office branches for collection.

The Home Office expects production to recommence this week with the delivery of BRPs to Post Office branches expected by 20th April.

As a result it advises anyone who finds their BRP is not available to collect from the Post Office as scheduled, to wait until 20th April before contacting the Home Office to report this using the website contact form

We will update our newswall if we receive any further information from the Home Office.
