Skills Funding Agency (SFA) in England has published new funding rules, for assessing fee status in further education from August 2016. The new funding rules make some significant changes to eligibility for students aged 19 years or older studying in the 2016/17 academic year onwards.
We will be analysing the changes as quickly as possible and will publish a summary in a subsequent news item, as well as making updates to our public information on England FE 19+ fees eligibility. Please note: We have not yet made any changes to our web information.
In the meantime, anyone seeking clarity directly from SFA can participate in an online forum. Visit http://feconnect.sfa.bis.gov.uk/ (look for: ‘Online Q&A on the funding rules for 2016 to 2017’). The forum will run until Friday 12 February 2016.
