Immigration health charge

06 February 2015

Draft legislation has now been published explaining how the immigration health charge will work. The immigration health charge is a sum of money that will be added to the cost of applying for immigration permission. Those who have paid the charge will be entitled to receive free National Health Service (NHS) treatment.

See our information on the Immigration health charge for a summary of the details in the draft Order.

We do not yet know when it will come into force though it is likely to be implemented in March or April this year.
