UKCISA is a remarkable organisation which I have been privileged to lead for some 14 years. But I have been considering for some time that I should at some stage hand over to a successor and as we come towards the end of our 50th anniversary year celebrations (and having recently and very successfully moved into new premises), this seems a reasonably good time to do so.
I therefore informed the Chair of our Board last month that this was my intention and the full Board last week - and we have already moved ahead and engaged a recruitment company to lead the search for the next Chief Executive.
The details are now available on the Gatenby Sanderson website (https://www.gatenbysanderson.com/job/GSe47988/chief-executive-officer-24
) and will be elsewhere including on our website shortly, and we are saying that the post will be available from sometime before Easter of next year.
I am not therefore disappearing immediately (far from it!) and look forward to continuing to work with you all over the next months.
And before I depart I will want to write at more length about the friendships I have made and the support I have received and the things all of us have achieved together over what has been at times a turbulent but always thoroughly stimulating time - amongst a community of extraordinarily dedicated individuals, who do so much to support us and each other, and who make the UK such a tremendous place to study.
But for now I just wanted you to hear this news from me – and who knows, one of you (or more) just might wish to apply!?
With very best wishes
