Closing plenary 2017

Friday 30 June, 12noon-1pm

Closing plenary with the Home Office

What next with Tier 4 student policy and processes? Update on plans and issues + Q&A

  • Paul Regan, Head of Immigration Policy, Immigration and Border Policy Directorate, the Home Office
  • Anna Lacey (pictured above) Head of Student Migration Policy, Immigration and Border Policy Directorate, the Home Office
  • Ollie Carlisle (pictured above) Head of PBS Study Operations, Work Study Visas, UK Visas and Immigration, the Home Office

The closing plenary will focus on the subjects of most interest and concern to most delegates and provide an opportunity to hear at first hand from senior officials with responsibility for either policy or implementation and to raise any questions or issues with them direct.

Paul Regan will provide us with a policy update following the general election.  Anna Lacey and Ollie Carlisle will share and discuss with delegates any new policy initiatives and ways in which processes and procedures, for students and for sponsors, are currently operating and being developed and improved. Bharat Pamnani, Assistant Director, UK Visas and Immigration will also be in attendance.

This session is always extremely popular and an important opportunity to hear updates, raise issues and develop a closer understanding between UKCISA members and key officials in the Home Office. Delegates will be given the opportunity to submit questions to the Home Office in advance.
