Work options after study
The opportunity to stay on to work in the UK is highly attractive to
many international students. This course covers the options available
in order that an adviser can help a student identify what is appropriate. As most opportunities for staying on to work relate to
those who have studied at degree level, this course will usually be more
relevant to those working in Higher Education.
Course objectives
Participants will be able to:
- give overview advice on options for students to stay on to work
- help students identify options that are relevant to them
- give practical advice on the main immigration and procedural requirements for switching into work
- signpost students to the resources they need for their application

This course is suitable for anyone who advises students, particularly
in Higher Education, who wish to investigate options for working in the
UK after their studies, including student advisers, careers advisers and
human resources (HR) staff
