The aim of this course is to provide information about the immigration requirements family members of students must meet in order to enter and stay in the UK.

The course will cover the family members of Tier 4 students and of students who applied for their leave before 31 March 2009.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • be able to advise family members about the requirements they must meet in order to apply and the restrictions that will apply to their stay in the UK
  • be able to advise family members on how to make their immigration applications

This course is suitable for:

those who already have a good knowledge of the immigration requirements students must meet in order to enter and stay in the UK. We aim to provide an overview of the immigration requirements students' family members must meet and to focus on some of the areas which can be difficult in practice, for example, demonstrating sole responsibility for a child.
