Framework for fees: Scotland

The course offers a structure for determining who should be charged ‘home’ fees and who can be charged ‘overseas’ fees in Scotland. It sticks to the basics and there is no time allowed for exploration of the ‘grey areas’ such as those related to ‘ordinary residence’ (these are addressed in the ‘Residence requirements’ workshop).
Course aim
To offer a solid framework for assessing and checking students' fee status.
Course objectives
Participants will be able to:
- identify students entitled to pay home fees in Scotland

Course details
This course is suitable for:
those who are new to assessing or advising on fee status in Scottish FE
and/or HE; it’s ideal for those who are new to their job and who will
be involved in fee status issues at or around enrolment time.
This course is a component of the Certificate for International Education Professionals (in combination with the 'Residence requirements' workshop).
