Framework for fees: higher education

The course offers a structure for determining who should be charged ‘home’ fees and who can be charged ‘overseas’ fees. It sticks to the basics and there is no time allowed for exploration of the ‘grey areas’ such as those related to ‘ordinary residence’ (these are addressed in the ‘Residence requirements’ workshop – see page 14). This course does not address the additional provisions for the FE sector in England.

Course aim

To offer a solid framework for assessing and checking students' fee status.

Course objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • identify students entitled to pay home fees

  • The 2008-09 UKCISA Training Programme will be available by the end of August
