On Thursday 28 January the Home Office are introducing a new online application form for Tier 4 applications made in the UK. The new application form will be phased in between 28 January and 9:00am on Monday 1 February 2016. This means that between these dates the link to a Tier 4 application form on the gov.uk website will automatically direct some users to the current form, and others to the new form. Although the Home Office is confident that the transition will proceed as planned and may even be completed earlier than 9:00am on 1 February, we would suggest that if possible you avoid completing a Tier 4 application during this period. However, it is very important that you make your Tier 4 application before your current leave expires.
UPDATE (23 February 2016):
If you have started an application using the current form before it is replaced by the new form then you will be able to log into your account and complete this application until midnight on Thursday 25 February 2016. If you do not complete and submit your application by this deadline (including paying the application fee and the immigration health surcharge, if applicable) then it will no longer be accessible and you will have to submit a new application using the new form.
It is important that you log into your online account and save any information, such as previously submitted applications and/or forms for appointments at Premium Service Centres, before midnight on 25 February 2016 because after this time you will no longer be able to access this information.
The Home Office has announced that accounts linked to the old Tier 4 application form will be accessible until noon on Friday 26 February 2016, not midnight on 25 February as previously announced.
