Teaching International Students

This two-year project, co-funded by PMI and the Higher Education Academy, is being directed by Dr Janette Ryan and Jude Carroll, with other members of the team based in the Academy's Subject Centres and at the York office.

Aims

It aims to make a major contribution to strengthening the UK international student experience - and by extension the international horizons of all students in the UK. This will be achieved by:

• Establishing a repository of national and international research on teaching and learning of international students, using the Academy's EvidenceNet facility;
• Identifying and disseminating information and guidance about teaching and learning of international students;
• Providing guidance on staff development strategies relating to teaching and learning of international students via events, guidance materials and EvidenceNet;
• raising the profile of the importance of learning and teaching of international students.
