Developed by UNIAID, this online student lifestyle calculator helps international students plan and manage their money for studies in the UK. Now upgraded with a new interactive homepage, translation functions and much more. Students can use the site to:

• Build a lifestyle budget and see how it balances by week, month or over a year
• Understand how they will spend their time as well as their money in the UK
• Learn from case studies and top tips from other students
• Save their budget so they can use it before arriving or during their study

There are also advisers’ resources to help deliver engaging money management workshops with students. These include activity ideas, handouts, as well as tools to help advisers use the International Student Calculator.

Online Wiki launched alongside the UNIAID International Student Calculator

UNIAID and UKCISA have launched the UNIAID Student Life Wiki - an interactive website providing localised information to international students coming to the UK. Students and Advisers can now upload and edit articles about their town, institution, living costs and much more. It’s free to use and contributions are welcomed from home and international students, student representatives, university staff, local businesses and anyone else with useful insight to share.
