Who can be a member?

Your organisation can become a member of UKCISA if it is:

  • a UK independent school, language school, college or university
  • a students’ union of one of the above, or
  • a UK organisation working on matters connected with international students.

Membership is not available to agents, but you can apply to be a subscriber if you are an agent who wishes to receive UKCISA mailings and have access to our training and publications.

Most membership of UKCISA is organisational, not individual, but you can become an individual member if you are an international education professional but do not currently work for an organisation e.g. if you are retired, on a career break or working as an individual consultant.

If you are an international student, you don't need to become a member of UKCISA to get advice and information from us. See the Student Advice pages of our website for details of how to access our services.
