This course aims to motivate and engage
participants to learn about the internationalisation
of their institutions and to help achieve institutional
goals by operating more effectively in their role,
especially through partnerships and cross-institution
working.
It supplements our online training programme, Understanding International, and provides an opportunity to explore with
colleagues some of the key issues covered in the
online modules.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- articulate how their role relates to their institution's international activity and objectives, and to the national context
- identify and build more effective working relationships across the institution
- identify key resources, internal and external to the institution, which can support them in their work
- address ethical issues within an appropriate framework, understand the boundaries of their role and how these inter-relate with those of other staff
- formulate an action plan for their continued professional development
This course is suitable for:
anyone new in post in an international role within the last twelve months who is taking the Internationalisation Training Toolkit course online. Please note that this course does not cover specific advice areas such as immigration or fee status.
Prerequisites:
Before attending the course, students will be expected to have completed at least two modules of Internationalisation Training Toolkit, namely Getting Started and The International Student Journey. Completion of other modules is optional.
